What does the HSA do?

In a typical year, we raise around £4,000 which goes towards the purchase of equipment and teaching resources that benefit the children at Hanover Primary School and supports their growth and development at school.

There are also annual events which the HSA regularly funds – some help for Father Christmas, Easter eggs and the (whole) school Christmas pantomime/cinema trip.

We run a wide range of social events during the school year which are well attended and bring the school community together.

These have recently included a Summer Fair and an Autumn International Celebration. Popular events also include our regular class cake sales and the annual Sponsored Bounce!

Many hands makes light work

We are always looking for extra helpers! If you can spare half an hour, an hour or more – we’d appreciate it.  Work from home, or meet us at school. We always need extra hands to help prepare before an event, help out on a stall and/or afterwards with the clean up.

We look forward to your support, ideas, skills and time.
Do get in touch!
Thanks,
The HSA Team

What does the Hanover School Association (HSA) do?

The HSA meets at least once a term for social and/or fundraising events.

Why does the HSA exist?

To help build the Hanover school community by providing links between parents/carers, teachers and staff, school children and the local community.

  • To raise money for the school.
  • To organise social events.

Why be involved?

Get involved in the HSA and you will enhance your child/children’s experience at Hanover Primary School.

We support the school and encourage all families to get involved and engage in their child’s/children’s learning and development.

It’s also a great way to meet other parents/carers, staff at the school and meet others in your local area.

How do I become involved?

  • Come along to our events, enjoy yourself and spend some money!
  • Help out whenever you can – for example, running a stall, writing letters, making a poster, assisting with our newsletter.  As little or as much time as you can spare.
  • Become a Class Representative and liaise between the Committee and teachers/staff.
  • Join our fundraising subcommittee; raising funds through sponsorship, trusts and foundations, donations and more.
