Children are at the heart of everything we do at Hanover, and we recognise that the local environment and community play a huge part in their world-view.
We are always looking for ways to make links, to build positive learning relationships, and to contribute to our wider community. Our children gain hugely through this. They feel a part of their neighbourhood, meet people and take an active role in shaping the place where they live.
Our most recent project was the creation and maintenance of the Hanover Towpath Garden. This was led by a group of parents and their children with the Canals and Rivers Trust, and has transformed a previously overlooked part of the canal. It is now filled with people every day, and even won the Mayor’s Team London Award.
If you would like to get involved in this project, or have an idea about what our next community project could be, please do get in touch with the school office.
