14 Nov Victory for Hanover’s Swim Squad
Hanover Primary School’s Swim Squad performed brilliantly at last Friday’s Islington Swimming Gala.
Having trained hard all year, both the girls and boys saw real success. Their hard work clearly paid off!
Hanover’s girls came second overall with 25 points, beaten by a whisker by Canonbury with 26. Evelyn won gold in individual freestyle, Pearl won gold in breaststroke, Ruby won silver in backstroke and the medley relay team of Ruby, Pearl, Manal and Evelyn also won gold in their race. The boys didn’t win any medals this time but did really well (particularly considering we were short for the team a few weeks ago).
We would like to thank all of the children who worked so hard, and also the parents and Paul, the coach, for putting so much in to ensuring Hanover’s Swim Squad did as well as they did. We are all very proud of you!
